Charles Turner was one of eight Black men who were convicted for the murder of Catherine Fuller in 1984. The six surviving men maintain their innocence and are now asking President Biden to pardon them. “It means that to me, the person with the most power in the free country believed in my plight, believed that I was innocent,” Charles Turner said to MSNBC’s Jonathan Capehart. Attorney Shawn Armbrust, who has been involved in Turner’s case for years, also joined to discuss why she took on the case.
