Kanye West includes André 3000’s song after Drake leaks Life of the Party

Drake leaked André 3000’s collaborative track with Kanye West, titled Life of the Party, after the song was ultimately removed from West’s Donda album..

Fellow rapper André 3000, recently shared his thoughts on the incident while appearing on The New York Times podcast.

The 49-year-old reflected on the unexpected release of the track. “I was like, ‘Woah!’ I actually don’t understand why he did it… I kind of have to thank Drake for letting that song see the light of day.”

The Roses vocalist shared insight into the formation of the song, revealing that the soundtrack’s exclusion stemmed from a mutual decision with Kanye West, who dedicated Donda to his late mother, had concerns about the inclusion of explicit language in 3000’s verse.

Since André 3000’s mother had also passed away in 2013, both artists felt it was best to remove the verse out of respect for their shared grief and West’s vision for the album.

Life of the Party was initially recorded for the 47-year-old’s 10th studio album but was omitted from the official track list.

The song was leaked by Drake during his SiriusXM radio show, which caused a stir in the hip-hop community. However, Kanye West later included the track on the deluxe version of Donda.
