Cotton Slips Back Lower on Tuesday

Cotton futures closed out the Tuesday session with contracts down 14 to 21 points across most nearby contracts.  The outside factors were mixed, as the US dollar index was down 792 points, with crude oil $0.69/barrel lower. 

The Seam reported 11,823 bales of online sales on January 11 at an average price of 51.92 cents/lb.  ICE cotton stocks were unchanged on Monday, at 20,113 bales of certified stocks. The Cotlook A Index was back down 150 points on 1/13 at 77.45 cents/lb. The USDA Adjusted World Price (AWP) was back down 37 points from the previous week last Thursday at 54.66 cents/lb.

Mar 25 Cotton  closed at 67.5, down 14 points,

May 25 Cotton  closed at 68.7, down 17 points,

Jul 25 Cotton  closed at 69.72, down 21 points
