Pulling off a maximalist look is not an easy task when you do not know how to balance the elements carefully. For ace designer duo Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, maximalism comes easy. Recently, they made Tamannaah Bhatia their muse. For the recent look, Tamannaah stunned in a gorgeously embellished Bandhani kurta which was paired with a dupatta and a crushed silk skirt.
For Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, crushed silk has been a signature element in their pieces for more than three decades. In a press statement, the designer duo opened up about how they make their signature crushed silk. They said, “Pure silk has a natural element of starch in it, and it is this very detail that enables the crushed fabric to retain its texture. We have always and only used the purest of all materials for our creations.” They added, “From the beginning of our careers, we have believed in the luxury of volumes of beautiful fabrics flowing most graciously over the skin. We adore the indulgence of Khadi silk, Mysore chiffons, crepe de chines, and Tussar silks of Bihar. We had even introduced our crushed technique in Bandhani and Churi sleeves, and they quickly became a sensation.”
